MCC Monday Night Big Band and RMHS Jazz Recordings
April 28, 2008 - Four jazz bands were recorded by JR Utopian Studios at the Red Mountain High School auditorium on April 28, 2008 as part of the end-of-year concert series. The three RMHS student bands are directed by Mr. Vincent Wedge, and included the MCC Outreach Jazz Band, Red Mountain Jazz Too, and Red Mountain Jazz I.
The final band was the MCC Monday Night Big Band, directed by Mike Crotty. This band features some of the area's finest jazz musicians, including Eric Rasmussen on alto and soprano saxophones, Elliot Ventimiglia on alto saxophone, Mike Livingston on tenor saxophone, Jeff Kelly on tenor saxophone, Keith Kuczynski on baritone saxophone, Dave Coolidge on trumpet, Denny Monce on trumpet, Rob Hunter on trumpet, Coby Boyce on trumpet, Jack Bannon on trumpet, Vince Wedge on trombone, Pete Vivona on trombone,
Milas Yoes on trombone, Jeff Martin on bass trombone, John Sims on bass, Nick Manson on piano, and Denny Marcum on drums.
The recordings were mixed and mastered at JR Utopian Studios, and printed to CD for distribution through the bands' directors.
